CORE I: ADMINISTRATIVE CORE

Core Co-Director: Jeanne Teresi, Ed.D, Ph.D.

The Administrative Core of the Columbia Center for the Active Life of Minority Elders(CALME) serves as the main focus for coordination and implementation of a broad and inclusive program of mentoring, research, and knowledge dissemination in the field of minority aging. The Core Director is a minority investigator with strong experience in working within the minority community of Northern Manhattan. The organization of the Center presents a multi disciplinary mixture of minority and majority investigators with experience in the field of minority aging research.

The principal internal advisory group in the CALME is the Executive Committee. This committee meets monthly immediately after or jointly with the meeting of the Directorate. At this meetings each core presents a progress scope of the assigned work.
