Portrait Dedicated

A portrait of Professor H.K. Corning, a prominent medical anatomist in Europe, was dedicated in April. Professor Corning was the father of Miss Ursula Corning, a long- time physical therapist at Columbia-Presbyterian and a generous supporter of P&S and its Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. She has endowed the H.K. Corning Chair in Rehabilitation Medicine Research, now held by Dr. James S. Lieberman, chairman of rehabilitation medicine. Photographed with the portrait at the dedication are, left to right, Dr. Lieberman; Dr. John A. Downey, Dr. Lieberman's predecessor as chairman of rehabilitation medicine; Miss Corning; and Dr. Donald F. Tapley, senior deputy vice president of the Health Sciences.
